So I recently had an issue with Bitdefender quarantining the latest version of VDH companion app, when I tried to play a video I had just downloaded.
After restoring the 3.exe files from Quarantine, I was getting a sideload download error, which was resolved by enabling the files in Bitdefenders firewall again

Fix
1 - restoring files from BD Quarantine
2 - excluding the  3.exe files in the DownloadHelper folder in Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defense
3 - enabling all 3 .exes in BD Firewall

Everything is downloading as normal again, thanks again to the developer and Wild Willy for your tireless and patient support.

How do you enable the three .exes in the BD Firewall. Can you explain this to me? Also, are the chrome, microsoft, and firefox files in the companion app folder the three .exe files you're talking about?

No, the 3 files are the ones I told you about in your other thread. As for how to do
things in Bitdefender, I have no idea. I've never used it. Others will have to help you
with that.

The Google, Microsoft, & Mozilla files are not executables. They are json files, which
is to say they are just input data files for the respective VDH extensions on the 3
browsers. Bitdefender did not raise a stink about them, only the .exe files.
