HLS Stream Audio & Video separated

Hello,

when downloading from a Brightcove player audio and video are shown as separate streams. Is there a way to download them together?

Phenomenom occurs on firefox and chrome

I'm afraid no. If they are shown as separate streams it means VDH has no aggregation info.

Brightcove Player 6.19.2 at (randomly found) https://www.itv.com/thevoice/go-behind-the-scenes-with-our-backstage-reporter-aj-odudu and I got a 52.4 MiB MPEG-4 video from that address.

Can you share the address of a page where separate streams are used? Thanks.

Download video (m3u8 file) – probably irrelevant to your case – leading to « Gilets jaunes, sortir de la crise » : revoir la soirée spéciale de BFMTV with a Brightcove player, and content that probably can be downloaded with Video DownloadHelper.

I think brightcove player in general is not the problem. i was able to download from that site about a year ago. and i`ve fpund other sites using brightcove where i can download audio with video. But here i can only load video(which can be perfectly played with vlc) and audio only(which also works perfectly). 

Why is there no way to merge them?

It seems to me that Brightcove is the problem. Different sites use different versions of Brightcove - probably with older versions VDH still worked. With newer versions the merging of audio and video isn't working.

I am using Firefox 71.0 on Windows 10. I am on the latest version of VDH 7.3.7 and Companion app 1.3.0. I even uninstalled both and reinstalled in case I have changed some setting. I also paid and registered my VDH license today.

The Brightcove versions are 5.28.1 and 6.37.5 respectively - with both, video and audio are not merged. I can download Youtube videos without a problem, though.
