For weeks no issues, this evening, unable to download anything.

Same issue here. That site is accessible w/ a login and password, so we cannot link a particular video here.

Issue is still ongoing. Tried multiple MP2T downloaders. Found a way to play those HLS streams through VLC media player, but quality is lessened (there's some buffering, etc.), and there's no sound! Please help!

I am going to give you some references. You may think they're irrelevant or you don't
have time to mess with them. Wrong. If you don't follow the advice I'm about to give
you, every piece of it, it will tell me that you are somebody who ignores advice & I will
not bother to offer any further advice only for you to ignore it as well.

Be sure you carefully read the first 2 paragraphs there. Once you have read that, you
can check out the references within that web page that I am about to give you. But don't
just find the relevant link & click it. READ the context around the link. I recommend
you bookmark that link & read the entire page, if not now, if not in one sitting, bit by
bit over time.

You find a reference on that web page by searching the text of that page using various
search keys. The search keys I am suggesting are these:

problem report
stealth quote
short tutorial
using gmail to post here
evasive maneuvers

Next, look for "problem report" within the text of that web page. That will give you a
link. Click that, read what you find, & follow the advice. Since you're talking about a
site behind a paywall, there's no point in posting URLs. But there is a point in posting
the rest of what constitutes a proper problem report. Don't just say you have "the
latest." Give specific release numbers. It may be that you are not on "the latest."
Also, these discussions exist for the long term. Help somebody coming along a year or
two from now. "Latest" won't mean the same thing then. So give actual release numbers.

Next, look for "stealth quote" within the text of that web page. That will give you
another link to click. Click that, read what you find, & follow the advice, not just for
your posts in this thread, not just for your posts in this forum, but for your posts
anywhere on Google Groups.

Next, look for "short tutorial" within the text of that web page. That explains why your
response here will use the Reply all button. It also explains why you will NOT use the
Reply to author button.

Next, look for "using gmail to post here" within the text of that web page. If you
ignore the advice in that reference, you will appear to be rude. You don't want to be
rude, do you?

Next, look for "evasive maneuvers" within the text of that web page. That is a reference
that you must read before you click the link in it. Once you do click that link, you
will find a description of a number of alternative techniques you will need to try.
Since you are talking about a site that is behind a paywall, nobody here (unless they
accidentally happen to also be paying members of the site) will be able to visit any
pages on that site. So you will have to be our eyes & post screenshots of whatever you
are trying to do. That would be screenshots of you following the "evasive maneuvers"
advice. Don't bother posting screenshots of VDH failing. We already know what that
looks like. Post screenshots of what our "evasive maneuvers" look like on the site. In
addition, it is my understanding that a lot of content on that site is NSFW. Be sure you
carefully censor all NSFW content from your screenshots.

As for contacting Michel directly, it would surprise me if you got any response from him
via E-mail. This forum is the official support channel for VDH. Posting here is how you
contact Michel. If you don't see any response from him here, take that as a response.
It will mean he doesn't see the need to respond to you because there's nothing he can do
about whatever the topic is. So just trust in your fellow users. Post here & leave
Michel alone.
