Hallo,
der Videodownloader ist ein sehr erfreuliches Tool um aus Mediatheken der TV-Sender interessante Videos zu sichern für spätere Betrachtung.
Das hat bis vor kurzem noch bei www.tele5.de/mediathek/ gut geklappt. Nun hat der Sender seine webseite geändert und erwartet daß man überflüssigen Werbemist vorher ertragen muss.
In der Downloadliste sind nunmehr nur kurze Sequenzen massenhaft aufgeführt. Ein Videodownload einer Serienfolge oder eines Spielfilm ist jetzt nicht mehr möglich.
Bitte seht euch diese Seite an und versucht den Downloader darauf einzustellen.
Meine Basis ist WIN 10 64 Bit und Firefox Quantum 61.0

The video downloader is a very enjoyable tool to secure from media libraries of the TV stations interesting videos for future viewing.
This worked well until recently at www.tele5.de/mediathek/. Now the station has changed its website and expected that you have to endure unnecessary advertising before.
In the download list, only short sequences are now listed en masse. Video download of a series or a feature film is no longer possible.
Please look at this page and try to set the downloader on it.
My base is WIN 10 64 bit and Firefox Quantum 61.0

Tele5 is not universally broken. I've just succeeded in downloading a part of the "Dark Matter"-series
While the movie "The Giant" is chopped neatly into hundreds of pieces:

The mentioned Dark Matter S02E24 was the last loadable Episode (like Star Trek Enterprise S01E16 and Star Trek Deep Space 9 S01E16). First tele5 changed the movie-section, now the Serien. I used it from time to time to load movies with JDownloader (btw. never sure if they were cut or uncut). But no more luck since a few weeks.
I tried several tools (macOS) with no success.
I think we need a tool that is able to combine all the bits that are streamed after another to one playable movie-file. These bits are not playable for example with VLC and I did not find any clues in the code of the website (sometimes the link to the moviefile is hidden here).
Every help is highly appreciated
