VideoDownloadHelper doesn't detect video

 I'm having a problem. I start video but when I go to start VDH the three dots in my toolbar are grey, not the usual blue, red, & yellow. When the drop down menu opens it's just blank. It seems like VDH is trying to start but can't detect the video playing. I tried refreshing the videos page, didn't work. Has any body else had a problem similar to this ?
