Need Help: Error when download a specific HLS video

When I download from a specific website of HLS videos, it is always "code 401"... Is there a way to solve it?

Specifically, there are 2 threads mentioned in there that deal with how to report a
problem. You will need to follow the advice given there.
Having said that, the error you are getting is telling me that the item in question is
protected in some manner. I regularly use VDH to download content from sites where I
have to provide login credentials, so I'm not sure what the problem may be here. Once
you provide a proper problem description, somebody (not necessarily me) might be able to
advise you better. You should also know that VDH does not download DRM protected
content. Is this DRM protected content? Provide a proper problem description & somebody
might be able to tell you that.

More about the problem: I have login credentials to the website in question. After entering login credentials, I can watch the videos. I use VDH to download the video when I am watching it. When the download process starts, it either gives me the error code 401 as mentioned above, or stays at 0%. I don't know about "DRM protected content". When I download from other HLS video websites by VDH, there is completely no question. So maybe the content has been protected in some ways as you said. However, I believe that if I can watch it, there is a way to download it. Below is the screenshot, I hope it will make a more clear impression.

Are you also a student of Peking University, School of Mathematical Science? Happy to see schoolmates here, but sad to see you concerning the same problem. The course replay system of our school really sucks! Have you overcome it by now? It's so frustrated not being able to download replays during the covid. I'm facing the same error. The in-browser player sucks, not being able to adjust speedup and volume (more than 100%) smoothly, while lagging all the time. There's an official downloader now, though it's barely usable. Can't imagine PKU spent so little effort providing online education during the covid. May I contact you via WeChat?

It is not true that because you can play it on the web site that you can download it.
There are multiple ways a site can prevent downloading while permitting streaming from
its web pages. It would be easier if I could access that site but I understand that you
have to supply login credentials. Still, there may be ways to figure out how to get this
content. We offer several possible approaches over here:

Don't let the title of the thread throw you off. That thread shows several things you
can try that could possibly -- not guaranteed -- show you enough information that you can
download the content one way or another.
There is one other thing that is VERY IMPORTANT that you learn. Go to this thread once

I mentioned it above. You need to pay attention to that one. There is a specific
reference I want you to find. Do a string search for "stealth quote" within the text of
that web page. That will reposition the page on a reference that contains a link. Click
the link, read what you find, & follow the advice. It is IMPORTANT that you learn what
is in that thread & follow that advice every time you post here, not just in this thread,
not just in this forum, but anywhere on Google Groups.
Another topic to look for in the Table of Contents is DRM. Look for the reference that
says it explains how you can determine whether something is protected by DRM. DRM.
That's your search string. Search for "drm" within the text of that page.
