I tried installing the CoApp but it doesn't work. I tried reinstalling the coapp and the addon. I restarted the browser and the OS. But the error stays: "Checking companion app returned: An unexpected error occurred"

You probably need to get up to the latest beta of VDH: 8.1.0.0a5

Found the beta Version 8.1.0.0a5 and installed it. Still same error. Now using coapp 2.0.4

Normally, Addon 8.0 is compatible with Coapp v2, and Addon 8.1 is compatible with Coapp v1.

Hi. Can you tell me if you're using the Flatpak version of Firefox? Or the Snap version of Firefox? Also, I'm surprised you are using the 32 bits version of the coapp. Don't you want to use the 64 bits version?

I have exactly the same problem here with VDH 8.0.0.6 and net.downloadhelper.coapp-1.6.3, which are the pair that are proposed to me for install.
