  Iget the following error:

[Exception... "A transfer was only partially done when it completed" nsresult: "0x804b004c (NS_ERROR_NET_PARTIAL_TRANSFER)" location: "JS frame :: resource://gre/modules/DownloadCore.jsm :: this.DownloadError :: line 1498" data: no]

Is there any thing I could do?

The site is:

http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/isabel/

Thanks for your attention.

I tried downloading some short clips from the site with VDH 5.4.1. The file size in both VDH and the Firefox downloader is always listed as 2048MB, no matter the size of the video.

When the download finishes, Firefox downloader lists it as failed and VDH reports an error as described above. No video file is saved.

I then tried it with VDH 5.5.0a5, and while Firefox still reports the download as failed, VDH doesn't report an error and it correctly saves the video.

Yes, this is due to a Mozilla "fix" in Firefox 39. Check this thread for details:  https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/video-downloadhelper-q-and-a/gvsZD2b0_LQ/0VdUwip8_d8J

We made important changes in VDH 5.5.0.aX download module to accommodate with the problem but this code was not mature enough to be part of the 5.4.1 update.

Thanks for all the responses, I tried it with VDH 5.5.0a5 and it failed again.
The error message was:

[Exception... "Abort" nsresult: "0x80004004 (NS_ERROR_ABORT)" location: "JS frame :: resource://gre/modules/DownloadCore.jsm :: this.DownloadError :: line 1498" data: no].

Is it a one time error or do you get this every time you download a video ?

Sorry, I have no explanation to why it fails with 5.5.0a5.

It is normal that the Chrome version works as Chrome behaves like Firefox used to before version 39.
