Streaming downloads suddenly not working well

So I typically use the extension to download streams. However, since the most recent update, most of them will no longer complete downloading if the stream stops on it's own. If I stop the download during the stream, I don't have an issue, but if the stream cuts off on it's own, I get an error message and a .part file that's not playable. Anyone else seen this issue or have a workaround?

Andy G's Betrag vom 23.2.18 kann ich nur bestätigen!

Mehrere Versuche, einen ca. 1,5stunden langen Film aus der Mediathek als MP4 Datei herunterzuladen sind bislang an verschiedenen Tagen und nach einem Firefox-Browser-Reset immer wieder abgebrochen, teilweise bei 24% oder 65% erledigtem Download. Man merkt es stets daran, dass die intensiven Schreibgeräusche der Festplatte plötzlich aufhören und die Prozentanzeige über viele Minuten nicht mehr steigt, aber die kalkulierte Restdauer kontinuierlich deutlich ansteigt.

Eine Möglichkeit, den Download-Stream persönlich anzuhalten kenne ich nicht, in der 'VDH-Erweiterungsfunktion' sehe ich nur einen Stopp-Button zum kompletten Abbruch des Downloads.

Kennt jemand eine Möglichkeit, einem Experten der Software-Entwicklungsfirma des VDH diesen Fehler zu melden, welcher auch die verschlüsselte Temp-Datei zum jeweiligen Download auswerten kann, um den Abbruchgrund zu analysieren ?

Über hilfreiche Tipps würde sich freuen..

Es ist zum Verzweifeln. Heute versuchte ich einen anderen Film aus der 3sat-Mediathek mit PAL-DVD Konvertierung als MPG-Datei herunter zu laden. VDH startete normal und lief bei einer 32MB Internetverbindung ca. 25 Minuten bis zu 50% fehlerfrei, dann kam wieder der Abbruch. Wie zuvor habe ich eine Download Auftragsdatei und eine recht große TMP Datei aus dem Ordner, wo der fertige Film hätte gespeichert werden sollen. Doch wer kann mir helfen, hieraus eine Fehleranalyse zu machen?

Leider warte ich auf meinen vorstehenden Beitrag vom 15.11.18 auch noch jegliche Antwort.

Can you try first to download the file without conversion, so we can understand where the issue is, download or conversion ? You will be able to convert the file locally afterwards anyway.

Hello,

i found your video downloadhelper extended and i really like it.

Now i can download some video and run it offline whenever i want.

My problem are some streams which can be downloaded...at some point i get the same "Failed downloading media manifest" message and then i have the ".part" file.

Can i restore the "part" file or is it completly broken?
Do you have a fix for this problem...it would be good enough if the file would just stop (and create the .mp4 File) when this problem occurs.

sorry there is no way to retrieve info from .part files if manifest can't be downloaded.

what i also found out that if i am downloading an running stream and the stream would end (maybe the person got an disconect)...then the file get destroyed...would it not be possible just end the file and save it?
