In there you'll find 2 links to discussions of how to post a proper problem description.
Following my own advice . . .
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, Firefox 92.0.1 64-bit, licensed VDH 7.6.3a1 beta, CoApp
1.6.3, VLC 3.0.16 Vetinari. At least you posted a useful URL.
I downloaded that cow video & it plays fine for me without stutters. There are a lot of
things that I have noticed on my system that can cause video playback glitches. They all
have to do with other activity in progress on my system. Some examples: my antivirus is
doing a scan, Firefox is cleaning up its disk cache, the system is paging, VDH is
finalizing a download, and on and on. These are usually transient conditions. Also, VLC
is the video application that is always recommended around here. There are many reports
on this forum of QuickTime not properly playing video content.
I don't see 9 "copies" of the video, to use your term. I see what you can see in the
attached image. These are not copies of the video. These are variants, each at a
different resolution. Apparently, this web site offers the same video at a range of
different video resolutions. This is something you'll see on countless web sites. If
you refresh the page, VDH tends to duplicate the variants it shows on its menu. It often
(not always) adds the same collection of variants onto its menu with each page reload.
That link I just gave you also has a pointer to a discussion of the VDH license. The 2
hour limit is part of what you don't have to deal with if you get a license. Do you
believe that all software should be free? How would software developers feed
themseleves, clothe themselves, house themselves if they didn't make any money? What it
costs for a VDH license is a pittance. Read more about it by following the link in that
other thread. You shouldn't be so outraged by how the software works when you don't have
a license.
For length of posts, the limit imposed by Google is 8M, including attachments. I have
found that if I try to use the interface provided on the web site, I can't attach
anything at all to a post. The dialog for selecting a file to attach never activates for
me. So I am forced to E-mail my posts to the group. That reminds me of something I
ought to post in that other thread. Thanks for the suggestion. Your posts don't seem
all that long. What error exactly are you seeing? Perhaps a couple of screenshots would
clarify things. It occurs to me that Google in their infinite wisdom makes the Reply all
function quote in the post you are replying to. This makes your post longer than you
think it is. You should remove the quoted part before you post. That is just good
netiquette. Unfortunately, you are left to discipline yourself when it comes to this
step. Google gives you no help in this matter. On the other hand, even if you have
quoted in your own previous posts, they aren't all that long. I don't know what limit
you are hitting on your posts. I would definitely like to see some screenshots from you
on that score. Just make sure the cumulative size of your screenshots doesn't exceed 8M.
I see that only one of your posts has quoted in material, & the quoted part is only 1
line in that case, so I am quite surprised you are hitting any kind of limit.
