A hello....and bye to all,

Thank you, Mark O., for setting up this website and to its current
owner for keeping it up. The forum has fallen flat of late with no
diverse participation. Maybe as I bow out more people will decide to
join in. This is a tremendous way for owners and interested
residents to identify issues and stay connected as ideas for
resolution are batted around. Do use it!
I am truly grateful to have had this forum to provide a lot of
information and express my perspective on so many issues, especially
financial ones. But I do believe there are some issues even more
important than monetary ones, as critical as those are.

I perceive an association in tatters but have few, if any, more
answers......except one recurring theme, and that is, INVOLVEMENT.
From the tragedy of loss but also the triumph of the human spirit in
the past 10 searing days, one phrase stands out as perfectly
applicable to V.V., from the community complex itself to owners
wherever else they may be........it's time for "boots on the ground"
to start moving this association in a different and more stable
direction.

With so much that have thrown at folks (particularly now on
"Taxgate"), I have sought to take problems from the vague and abstract
into real time awareness. You have the right to know what is actually
going on; what you do with that knowledge is another matter.
What I've accomplished, or tried to and didn't, only time will tell.
My message from beginning to end for the governing body has
been....."Stick closely to the governing docs; they are your
protection and ours"......"when determine they need changing, then do
so lawfully"......."govern fairly and impartially"........"remain
open, transparent".

Members can never say you were not informed; don't ever say you
weren't warned. In the meantime, from one of my favorite classic
movies............

"Don't let it be forgot, that ONCE there WAS a spot......for one brief
shining moment that was known as.........Camelot" Up to you to
figure out how to make it back to there.

I know that there weren't enough pople in Victoria Village who truly understood your plight to continuously and tirelessly try to keep residents informed as to what was happening in Victoria Village. But we do appreciate all of your efforts in this endless battle. It is a shame that not enough people care about the place in which they loosely call home. There is and has always been a lack of pride, concern and interest in Victoria Village. Some have tried but I am sorry to say have failed. What we need in here is some of those brave people who have lost everything in these terrible fires but still have the pride, stamina and perserverence to fight the fight. Thank you for caring enough to fight for Victoria Village!
