I was on my way to an appointment this afternoon around 4:30; and saw two police cars in the parking lot across from the swimming pool. I did not see the police themselves as they were not in their squad cars.

Things have been quiet lately, but there was a rash of car break-ins and property defacements several months back.

Wondering if anyone is aware of anything untoward happening? Everyone in our little corner tries to keep an eye out for our neighbors, and we all do out best to notice anything out of place.

Thank you.

Deena,
Do you know if there is an active Neighborhood Watch group in
Victoria Village? If not, is anyone interested in getting one
organized?

Hi, Mark.

As far as I know, there isn't. It has been discussed before, but nothing much came of it.
I would not be able to organize one , but would be able to help.

Hi Deena.........

I heard from another owner who keeps track of the police blotter for
our area that it was listed as a Weapons Violation.....2 police cars
to 3600 block QAW. That's all I know.
There have been several attempts to start a Neighborhood Watch but
they generally fizzle out. The last attempt I know of was headed by a
tenant in my bldg. and she was "gung ho" to get it going....but then
moved out to eastern plains a few months after. Then I moved out 6
months or so later and lost touch with what happened.

Marcia,

Thank you for the information. I hope the police caught the person.

I looked at the police blotter earlier here: http://www.springsgov.com/units/police/policeblotter.asp but didn't see anything about it. We read in the paper that the Springs government site doesn't show all of the crimes - only a selection, so no surprises there.

A while back, someone on this list posted a link to what looked like a more complete blotter, but I can't find it now. If anyone has that link and wouldn't mind reposting it, please do. It would be appreciated.
