If I am correct, Andrew you are our newest member of the board? You
have been on the board for how long? You have lived here in Victoria
Village for how long? You were approached by Ray Murray to join the
ACC and later be on the board, is that right? My husband and I have
lived here in Victoria Village for over 20 some odd years. When we
first moved here there was no trouble with the board or the property
management. At the time property management lived on sight and was
here to see for himself what was going on in Victoria Village from day
to day. Now we have a property management company who gets alot of
money, has several properties to attend to and Victoria Village seems
to be on the bottom of the food chain as far as being a priority. Have
you gone down to the office and read through all of the correspondence
and everything that this community has been through in the past? It
certainly sounds to me that you have chosen to speak in defense of
this board? Do you really have a pulse on what is going on here?? Or
are you just listening to what the board members are feeding you?
Just from reading your remark about if you are unhappy with the
current board please run for a position in our next election. This
kind of a remark is oh so familiar to me when we were having issues
with the board and we got the response of..........if you don't like
the way things are run move!! You say that folks that are taking shot
at the board are just stirring up trouble and should attend monthly
meetings. Doesn't a red flag come up when you come to the meetings
and out of 255 homes there are always the same familiar faces at the
meetings? Have you attended all of the meetings? I don't recall
seeing you there for the meetings until you were put on the ACC and
ran to be on the board. Where were you when all of this stuff was
happening? You want to have people join and make a
difference.........really? We have done that too. My husband put
alot of time in on the ACC did alot of work and what did he get for
it..........nothing. The ACC bucked him in almost everything he tried
to do. Came up with lame excues why people could not be fined, why
dogs that have been here for a short time were grandfathered in just
so there would be not feathers ruffled. Just come to the meeting,
shed a few tears and theboard will do whatever you want. The problem
was that the people on the ACC wanted no one to be mad at them. Even
as of right now there are cars in here with expired tags, people still
working on their cars and I could go on and on but really it is just a
waste of time and energy. You have a board member who doesn't want
residents in here to be aware of what is going on because it will give
Victoria Village a bad name. You have another board member who has
been told over and over about violations in here and has said they
would be handled and the result.............nothing. Before my husband
resigned from the ACC he told the board, the ACC, the property
management about a white pick-up in the lot next to us that has not
moved. He wrote up a slip on it. The vehicle has never been tagged
and up until today still sits there. Rick Poole knows about all of
this has said he would take care of it and not done a thing. How long
is it that my husband has been off your committee now two months??
Would it ever occur to anyone that perhaps that is a stolen vehicle
and maybe it was dumped here? Well, I don't think you want help from
anybody. You have the good ole boys club and want things to be run
your own way without the consideration of the membership and what they
expect from their board.

While I am not the newest member of the board, I am new. I have not
been here long, I have not been involved long. However what I said
when I put my name in the hat for the open board position remains
true... I hope my a fresh perspective will benefit the community.

I understand your distaste for the current issues; I share your
feelings on more issues that you probably realize. Please feel free to
chat with me anytime. You clearly have many things that you would like
to see changed. As I told your husband, just call me. I cannot
volunteer as much time as perhaps you or even I would like. I work two
jobs and have two very young children and a wife, all of which take
priority.

Not to toot my own horn, but not many 26 year olds in my situation
would care enough to be the least bit involved. I will not defend
myself on this forum, but if you would like to discuss my involvement
please speak with me directly. Just because I am young, and am new,
does not mean that I may not have a good perspective on how to address
some issues.

I will reiterate what I said last night. Don't just tell us what we
are doing wrong... Tell us how you would like us to fix it.

Mrs. Denniston, if you would like to get to know me and where I stand
on the issues facing our community, please feel free to call me or
stop by. Your husband knows both my number and where I live.
