Democracy Day - Sept 15

Hi everyone, the UN established Democracy Day as Sept 15, which, this year, is on a Saturday.

So, here in Victoria, the UVic Fair Vote Club, local chapter of Fair Vote Canada and Integrity BC are celebrating Democracy Day from 2 to 4 pm at UVic in the Clearihue building, room A-206.  Please join us in celebrating and discussing the challenges we have with our democracy.

Elections Canada is also celebrating democracy week: http://www.elections.ca/content.aspx?section=med&document=sep1311&dir=pre&lang=e  although they seem to be very slow at posting their planned events!  They are planning one in Vancouver at UBC on Monday, September 17 from 11 to 1:30 am.

Our regular chapter's pub night is also coming up on Sept 18, at Swan's starting at 5 pm.
