Dear Dancers,
I need your input. As I research the possibility of hosting a Jane Austen/Regency Era Ball in Colorado, it would help to have your opinions. Which of the choices below would you prefer?
1) A ball held at an elegant, historic location in the Denver area (such as the Brown Palace), ticket price between $75 - $85 per person, to include a meal and live music (recorded music would mean a lower ticket price). Low carpeted or portable wooden dance floor – not sure yet.
2) A ball held at a nice but simpler location in the Fort Collins area, ticket price between $45 - $50 , to include a sit-down meal and live music. Large wooden dance floor.
3) Live music for a higher price, or period-correct, very nice recorded music for a lower price? Or either?
4) Which date would you prefer – March 3 in Denver or March 17 in Fort Collins? Or doesn’t matter? (neither date is committed at this time)
Of course, once a location and date are decided upon, I will supply you with a plethora of costuming resources and ideas. : )
Thank you! Please reply as soon as possible, and do write or call with any additional comments or suggestions. I appreciate your input greatly.
Sincerely,
Sharon Guli
