Ladies’ Titanic-era Costume Workshop
1:30pm, Sunday, January 22
The Pearl Street Studio, 2126 Pearl Street, Boulder
The White Star Line Ladies Auxiliary Fashion Committee invites all ladies of our local acquaintance to attend a Ladies Costume Workshop in preparation for the upcoming Titanic Era Ball in Boulder. The workshop will be held at 1:30pm, Sunday, January 22, at the Pearl St. Studio, 2126 Pearl Street, Boulder. A $7 fee at the door will cover light refreshments.
Come view gowns created and worn around the time the Titanic was built and launched, gowns painstakingly recreated from drawings and vintage patterns, and ensembles crafted from thrift store finds. The Committee has developed an easy formula for assembling a Ragtime Era gown from thrift store pieces and fabric remnants, which we’ll share at the workshop. We’ve put together several ensembles which will be available at cost for $20–$30, and we’ll help you with selection and fitting.
You are welcome to bring your own pictures, ideas, and pieces in progress should you wish to consult on colors, fabrics, accessories, design details, or how to complete your ensemble!
Please RSVP to Susie at srei...@gmail.com.
Very Sincerely,
Marilyn Chartrand, Dorothy Vernon, and Susie Reisser
