On reviewing some recent experiments with ID-3 and other developers, reported-on here about a month or two ago, I neglected to mention a few facts:
1) All of the developing was done using constant agitation.
2) In the case of HP5, the developing times varied between 11 and 13.5 minutes, in order to increase contrast in negatives made using low
light levels and relatively low (red) colour temperatures.
3) One of my reasons for liking this developer is the fact that it produces excellent negatives for scanning, as well as good contact-printing
negatives
The one thing I cannot give, at present, is an accurate COST of making ID-3, since I am using chemicals bought at various times in the past 7-10 years and current prices are hard to find on things like Sodium carbonate, etc. If I can come up with reliable pricing I will post something further.
