Not long ago Simon enquired about some 55PN Polaroid film (I think
that's what you were looking for, Simon?) I have three or four
packets of it but they are over 20 years old and when I tried one a
year or two ago it was outrageously bad. You cannot freeze it, and I
think it had been frozen during my winter camping expeditions.
However, I have heard talk of someone in the US who is hoping to
produce some, so it may yet re-appear, and justify your prowling into
past decades....
I am also curious about 620 roll film. I heard (about 2008) that it
might be available in small supplies from somewhere in Europe; has
anyone any information on this? I recently picked up a beautiful old
Kodak 620 camera in a leather case that looked new, and was so cheap
I couldn't pass it by. I am tempted to re-roll a bit of 120 to try
using this thing. But - no 620 spools/reels!
I hope some of you are making a few negatives during this prolonged
sunshine and hot weather?

Yes, I am still looking for that Polaroid film.

B&H Photo still list it on their site:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=620+film&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=

If you find a 620 spool there is a page here:
http://www.brownie-camera.com/respool/respool.shtml

I will look out for a 620 spool.

Hi, Jim;

The group you were thinking of can be found here:
http://new55project.blogspot.ca/ They're quite serious about this effort,
and it looks like something concrete can be expected in the not too distant
future. They seem well on the way to producing a product that will produce a
well-exposed neg *and* print simultaneously, but produce less "pola-trash"
too!

Thanks Don; interesting, but far more than I ever wanted to know
about 55PN or the re-development process. I hope they succeed and I
hope they get sales for their effort.
I always thought the pola-trash was sloppy technique? You mean I
didn't cause that?
