I seem to have encountered increasing difficulty in the past year, in
finding the raw chemicals to make the developers I use most often,
like D-23 and ID-3. The active ingredients are still available, but I
can't find anyone nearby who still stocks, or can order, things like
Sodium carbonate and Sodium sulphite. Does anyone know of a local
source for these? It would be appreciated.

Hi , I sure would like to know of a local source for chemicals myself. There are a few  sources I've found , but , they're in the  Montreal/Toronto area.
I have some Sodium Carbonate  .
In a Perfect Universe , maybe you have some  extra Potassium  Bromide  we could exchange as
I'm out of that and can't find any here..
Can probably sell you a little otherwise. I'm in Victoria.
Let me know.
 Best Regards, -

Allan:
I do have Potassium bromide - could let you have at least 1/2 lb or so. How much Sodium carbonate do you have?
We'd have to arrange some sort of drop-off or meeting since I don't live in Victoria, I'm up-island.
This may solve our problems temporarily; however, in the slightly longer term there is still the problem of getting the stuff. I use Sodium carbonate in proportion 100 g per litre of concentrate ID-3, which makes 4 litres of working solution. So I would like to get it in 500 g or 1 kg quantities if possible. We should probably consider getting it in ON or QC....
I have only one formula that uses Potassium bromide, and that is in rather small quantities, 50 g or less. What do you do with it?
