Hey folks! I'm making a bit of room to new tools, so my old 6" atlas metal lathe has to go!
I'll post it online later today, but I wanted to give members here a heads up.
I'll post all the specifics and link back here from marketplace
basically it's the smallest lathe atlas made, and it's a very early 1940s model. Because of this, it uses the older 1" 10TPI spindle (a year or two after release 1" 8TPI became the standard and atlas changed with it
The lathe itself comes with the somewhat rare milling attachment, a 3 jaw atlas chuck, and a full set of lantern style matched tool holders; L&R cutters and threading tool holders, cutoff tool holder, a few knurling tools, and (I THINK) a set of change gears.
Oh and also the extra set of pulleys to allow for a wider range of speeds
There are a few idiosyncrasies, a few missing grub screws, and a brazed crack on the cross slide. Basically I'm selling it for just a bit more than the cost of the chuck and milling adaptor.
I'm going to ask 700 on market place but if any of you want it I'll knock off a few hundred.
Cheers!
Possible trades welcome as well!
