Hi everyone,
I noticed it's quite quiet on the forum these days. I guess that either means nobody is machining and has nothing to report OR, so busy machining that there's no time to report. Either I suppose is good news. I hope you're all enjoying your summer doing whatever you're doing. I for myself am far up North in the Yukon working away in the beautiful Kluane National Park (I fly helicopters for a living) .. I'll be back September first to hopefully a nice fall. I have been remiss in updating you guys on what's happening in my shop .. in a nutshell, I finished the turret lathe restoration (Feeler FTS-27 .. clone of a Hardinge DSM-59) and even made some successful parts with it and then I got my hands on a beautiful 1980's Bridgeport that I took apart to the last nut and bolt, stripped, bondo'd, painted, blackened the hardware and she's just about up and running again .. The shop nears completion (says the guy who's already looking for the next victim to restore) ..
Anyways, enough rambling .. I wanted to extend a heart felt welcome to the amazing amount of new people on the group. I hope you're finding a little bit of information that may interest you and please, do share if you are working on a cool project .. I think it is safe to say that we're all very interested ;)
Hope you're all well
best
Mat
