Not mine but I've seen it for sale before

I saw that ad and wondered if it's from the same family as several Taiwanese lathes that were sold under different names in the '70s & '80s. If so, then it may be easy to get parts and documentation for it.

It looks exactly the same as my Husky even has the same model number PC-36 and mine is a 1980 model. I just paid a lot less.

What do you think of yours? We're considering getting this one for Victoria Makerspace to replace an old BusyBee 10x18 B2227l

Good Day to All

I recently joined your group on the recommendation of one of your members.  My name is Ron Stubbington.  I am a retired fire fighter from Victoria.  I have a Lantaine metal lathe and a RF-45 benchtop mill.  I just finished building a home  in Langford and a fully equipped shop/garage.   I am also the guy who has lots of way oil for sale at $12 per liter.   Thanks for letting me be part of your group.

Ron

Hi Ron,

Welcome to the group! If you're interested in showing us your shop, feel free to post some photos on the "Show me yours and I'll show you mine" thread from July 21 of 2020. I'd personally love to see them and I'm sure others would too.

Also, I'd like to buy a litre of your way oil. I can't contact you directly because this group doesn't reveal your email address, so here's mine:

Hi Ron,
I recognize that I am replying to a 2.5 year old post but ... in case it works let me try.
I belong to the Makerspace here in Victoria (makerspace.ca).  Earlier this year we purchased a 14x40 lathe.  I have been trying to find some real way oil to use with it.  The only source for smaller quantities I found was kbctools but haven't made it over to Vancouver to pick some up (high shipping cost).  However, I recently found your post and am wondering if you might still have some way oil available?
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug, I am not the Ron Stubbington mentioned in the post.

Cheers,

Another wildly late reply! But, will ISO 68 AW oil work? You can buy the store brand at Canadian Tire. Now I've got 5L that will last me for life.
