[Victoria Golf Society] The Hesvic Trophy - Formby Ladies Golf Club

The annual Hesvic Trophy against the Hesketh Casuals proved to be a close game this year, with the old foe just winning the match 6.5 to 5.5.  Casuals’ Captain, Phil Davey, received the trophy from our trophy captain Chris Edwards.  Formby Ladies Golf Club was in immaculate condition: just a shame the weather was not so good in the morning.  Only one person on either side managed to contribute to 2 points for their team, and that was the Casuals’ Steve Rigby – congratulations to him.  The great news was that everyone on the VGS side contributed to the VGS score – fantastic, but just not quite fantastic enough in the end.  Another fun day with friends from ‘up the road’, finished off by the usual great food and hospitality served up by Formby Ladies GC.  Here’s to next year!
