[Victoria Golf Society] August Summer Trophy

Seven players had a great day playing at Southport Muni for the Summer Trophy, being the alternative to the Hesvic Trophy.  A great day of weather, some wind to add to the need for accuracy, two new members, one prospective member, a past member, one guest, Katie Cappello and Donald Mcdonald.  Allen Jones got nearest the pin on the 13^th, Donald the longest drive, and Peter Brown had a two on the 8^th.  Katie followed a steady front nine of 16 with an even stronger back nine of 21 to finish with 37 pts and won the trophy for the second time (Donald was heard to murmur something about being robbed, but the trophy is still on the mantelpiece, so maybe next year!).
