Hello all, 

Announcing v1.87 as our latest LTS release!

We’ve released VictoriaMetrics v1.87, which comes with new features and bug fixes, as our latest Long-Term Support (LTS) release. 

We are committed to supporting every LTS release for a year and marking one of our releases as LTS every 6 months. Read this blog post on our approach with regards to LTS releases.

  • vmui: Optimize vmui for use from smartphones and tablets. See this feature request.

  • vmagent: Immediately cancel in-flight scrape requests during configuration reload when using stream parsing mode. Previously vmagent could wait for a long time until all the in-flight requests were completed before reloading the configuration. This could significantly slow down configuration reload. See this issue.

  • This latest release of VictoriaMetrics has been built with Go1.20. It shows up to 5% performance improvements in data ingestion benchmarks compared to the previous release built with Go1.19. Nice improvement by just upgrading Go builder!
