I'm researching IoT devices for a school project and can not identify the CPU Architecture and Operating System that's loaded on an old IQinVision IQA10S Alliance VGA Interior Vandal Resistant Dome Camera (IQeye IP Camera: model IQA10SI‑B3). I imagine it's similar to their modern IQeye cameras. Does anyone know? There's numerous mentions on the spec sheets of an open source operating system, but have yet to determine the details.

The old camera OS is not the same at all. The new Linux cams are way limited as compared to the previous firmwares for the MJPEG cameras. Those use a RTOS, can't remember. Run strings on the firmware.

All of the modern IQeye H.264 cameras are running Linux. I've not been able to SSH or anything into them. Telnet is available, at least on my IQ032 (AZ032S),  It's possible that new Linux firmwares have more shell features. The chip on almost all of these cameras is an Ambarella SoC which are ARM.

Here was my review of one the Linux H.264 cams: http://netcameras.blogspot.com/2014/12/iqeye-3-series-review.html
