Experience with Vicon cameras on Hikvision or similar NVR?

Hi

I am considering to replace our HDExpress NVR's with something else as we have performance issues with the NVR's.

I would however like to avoid replacing the cameras as well.

Do anyone know if it is possible to replace the Vicon NVR with something else like a Hikvison or Axis NVR?
