The Registration Timetable provides a schedule of when students can begin registering for classes for a specific semester. The timetable provides a chart with the minimum credits and the corresponding first date to register for each student level (e.g., undergraduate, graduate, law, nondegree). Students can determine their "minimum credits to register" by adding their total credits earned to the number of credits for which they are currently enrolled. Enrollment appointments are set when shopping carts open for a given semester and are not adjusted after that date.

COURSE NO: A four-digit designation for the course. A single letter suffix follows some courses.
CREDIT HRS (Hours): The number of credit hours awarded for the course. The range of numbers indicated the minimum and maximum credits available. When the minimum and maximum numbers are different, this indicates that the course is offered for variable credit hours. Students should check with the instructor and their advisor for the number of hours for which to register.
DAYS: U= Sunday, M=Monday, T=Tuesday, W=Wednesday, R=Thursday, F= Friday, S=Saturday
TIME: Listed are both the start and end times for the course. All times are listed by the 24 hour clock.

PART OF TERM: A set of dates within the larger semester. To view a list of all the parts of term and dates for each please visit Parts of Term.
CLS SIZE (Class Size): Number of seats scheduled to be offered in the course section.
SEATS AVL (Seats Available): The number of seats still available for registration in the course section.
* Continuing student registration is based on the total credits a student has towards their degree. That is, total earned credits plus total Fall 2023 enrolled credits. Please check DegreeWorks to determine the number of Credits Applied to your degree.
**Winter and Spring 2024 registration starts at 12:01 a.m. on the specified date in the table above for each of the Registration Groups identified. Continuing students are encouraged to register at their corresponding registration time shown above.
New students for Spring 2024 will have their semester schedules built and coordinated by their academic departments. If you are going to be a new student with us for the Spring 2024 semester, you will receive your specific registration instructions after you have paid your enrollment deposit.

The "REGN" registration confirmation code is a required McGill administrative code to confirm registration for graduate students. Registration in Minerva of the REGN registration confirmation course is mandatory for all graduate students each term. Don't forget! Note: There is no charge associated with registering for the REGN, and advisor approval is not required prior to REGN registration.
LATE REGISTRATION FEE: Please note that if you register after the regular regulation period, you will be charged for late registration. See the McGill Student Account Fees, Fines & Charges page.
To avoid late registration fees, register for at least one course via Minerva before the normal registration period ends. If you will be attending SIS but have not yet selected courses, register for the REGN course before the start of the term to confirm you are a student in that term. You can register for additional courses any time up to the deadline for add/drops.
