Desirable Qualifications will be given important consideration in assessing

a) Demonstrated experience in a role requiring knowledge of the Electronic
Health Record (EHR) in Alberta; 2 years.
b) Demonstrated experience in a role requiring knowledge of privacy and
security issues relating to the Freedom of Information and Protection of
Privacy Act (FOIP) and the Health Information Act (HIA); 2 years.
c) Demonstrated experience in a role requiring knowledge of the Canada
Health Infoway Blueprint; 1 year.
d) Demonstrated experience in a role requiring knowledge of business
workflows in a clinical setting; 2 years.
e) Demonstrated experience working with communications professionals or
vendors toward the development and implementation of communication
strategies and activities; 2 years.
f) Demonstrated experience with contract management activities; 2 years.
g) Demonstrated experience developing work plans; 2 years.

Scope:
The scope of activities covered by Deployment includes:
. Communications (on-going and project based);
. Process development and support;
. Training and education;
. Tool and product presentations and demonstrations;
. Relationship management;
. Grant development;
. Issue tracking, escalation and resolution;
. 'Deployment Incident Response' support (Deployment technical analysis and
. support);
. Limited Production Roll-out (LPR) support;
. Liaison with stakeholder groups;
. Reporting;
. Project management;
. Facilitation of Deployment of the EHR in the user community; and
. Business change and transition management.
The candidate will be responsible for:
1. Manage daily Deployment activities and ensure the Deployment team is
operating
1. optimally;
2. Conduct project management activities and workplan development related to
the deployment of the AN program;
3. Support the Senior Delivery Manager Deployment and Drug Domains in daily
Deployment operations, issue resolution and Deployment progress and updates;
4. Assist in strategy and tactical development for EHR Deployment;
5. Develop a training quality assurance and review processes for each AN
release;
6. Plan for and manage the impact of change to the end user when EHR
products and tools are deployed;
7. Facilitate the development and delivery of communication activities and
strategies relating to the Deployment of AN;
8. Support the establishment of daily issues identification and resolution
in support the EHR Deployment;
9. Provide daily interaction between the Deployment team and the various
development teams that build and maintain AN products;
10. Provide daily support with logging and tracing end user feedback from
the Deployment team for the purpose of identifying common areas of problems,
inconsistencies and opportunities that need to be addressed;
11. Monitor the integration of end-user feedback into the product
development cycle;
12. Provide a business perspective and overall working knowledge of the AN
EHR;
13. Review training material and project documentation to ensure it
accurately reflects functionality within AN;
14. Identify business requirements and draft options, strategies, default
position papers in accordance with Deployment planning, execution and
completion activities to achieve AN Deployment goals and desired business
outcomes;
15. Provide guidance and direction toward the development of AN operational
processes and review and approve process documentation;
16. Review current legislation, policies, procedures, business rules and
computer systems to identify and investigate problems or issues;
17. Analyze reporting requirements and produce reports to support the
ongoing reporting needs of the AN EHR governance bodies;
18. Assist in the development of a deployment plan for e-Learning and
strategy and review and approve final documentation;
19. Identify, analyze and support the resolution of current training
challenges;
20. Convert reports into usable materials for various stakeholders, for
example, presentations to stakeholders;
21. Track various communications mechanisms and stakeholder requirements;
22. Track activities within the overall Deployment work plan;
23. Provide regular updates to the Senior Delivery Manager Deployment and
Drug Domains, with respect to the quality, risk management, financial
performance, and progress to date of various initiative components;
24. Develop and execute solution procurement documentation, which may
include RFP's (Requests for Proposals); and
25. Liaises and coordinates deployment activities with the 'Transition
Coordinator Lead' (a contracted role that manages the Deployment Transition
Coordinators in the field).
Deliverables:
. Deployment work plan reporting and documentation;
. Issues tracking and documentation;
. Strategic and tactical planning documentation;
. Presentations and reporting documentation of Deployment activities and
milestones to project stakeholders and sponsors, and public forums; and
. Requests for Proposals and related documentation.
. Monthly status reports:
o Overall summarization of the Project progress;
o Deliverables achieved;
o Deliverables remaining, progress, and expected delivery on each; and
o Issues and concerns affecting specific deliverables and the Project
schedule or any other aspect of the Project.
