TV news last night and seeing the 'on the street' interviews being taken
by the Global News reporter....
The question of 'Who is more to blame for the current HEU walkout - the
union or the government?' was met with what the reporter said was an
"overwhelming" response of blame for the government.
Most of the people interviewed were NOT union memembers, were employers
themselves, or were past working age, but they overwhelmingly supported
the HEU members in their stand against the Gordon Campbell government.
Some said they would do the same thing, in the HEU's shoes, and some said
it was time that the BC Liberals were stood down. Must have been very
disappointing for Gordon Campbell to see this, considering that many of
those who were interviewed were strolling the Spanish Banks beaches right
in his old neighbourhood. Affluent people. Educated people. All backing
the HEU union and their reason for striking.
And 1 year to go to the election.

felony record while being Premier of BC. The only reason
why he doesn't have one in this country is that he has

interviewees, do you?
Just like "Speaker's Corner," the editors get to select only those
opinions/statements/interviews that make it look like EVERYBODY is in line with
their own view and/or their own manipulation of public opinion agenda!
If 90% of 100 people interviewed had a position contrary to the one desired,
you might see 10 clips, 9 of which are 90% of the supporters & 1 is a token
contrary so you think, "See? They do show contrary views!" but you go away
