Hi All,
I want to share about what I am going through at this time.
Yesterday, my Chiropractor told me I have a Compression Fracture in my
back! Also, Osteo-arthris in the back. It started bothering me a week
ago and each day began to get worse and nothing I was doing was
relieving the pain. Now I am in a lumbar back brace and moving very
very very slowly.

I am grateful I am still moving but suddenly my life style has come to
a halt. I can sit here to type for but a short time.

I would so appreciate ANY and ALL suggestions here. I am trying to NOT
go into fear and keep positive. You know the horror stories that all
our dear friends share :(
Yesterday I had a good friend share that I really should have
cortisone injections and that it only goes into the immediate area and
won't hurt me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today I read on the internet about
surgery!!!!!!
NONE OF THIS IS AN OPTION FOR ME.
This is what I am doing today: Recommended by Chiropractor....Icing
the area every two hours for 15 minutes until tomorrow when I go in
again. Also the back brace. And it was recommended to get and MRI.
Which I don't know much about and if it is really necessary.
Chiropractors are the only doctors that I use. Haven't had to go to a
MD for 23 years so far!!!!

Here is what I have been taking but just started religously
yesterday.....BF&C (with comfrey included), 6 capsules every two
hours. Also, using Tissue & Bone ointment with cayenne ointment over
most of the spine as often as I can. Joint formula, 3 capsules 3-4
times daily. Fresh juicing with ginger for inflammation and carrots
for calcium. Raw food diet. Jurassic Green 2-3 times a day. 8-10
Herbal Calcium capsules daily.
Oh My there is so much more!.........Immucalm as often as I can for
inflammation. And throughout the day I take Cayenne, Thyroid
Maintenance, Immune Formula and Echinacea (so many sick right now),
Garlic. And I can't forget....LOTS OF RELAX-EZE!!!!!!!

This afternoon I should be getting my order with Valerian Nerve
formula. I have never used this pain formula so I will give it a try.

I need to stop now..... I appreciate anything you have to help or
suggestions. I also think I might start Apple cider vinegar with honey
and water.
Gotta go,
Thanks and Blessings,
Guylene

Guylene..
I have gone thru my head what I have used to heal and for relief  since January and here goes.

Compression fracture is common relative people with osteoarthritis.  If you did not get this from an accident or trauma, then I would say that osteoporosis has caused a thinning of the bone. Need to correct this in a natural manner, as if other fractures occur in back, can cause curvature. You may have noticed you feel shorter in height. . The worse scenerio would be if the pain is severe and you let them do what is called vertobroplasty Procedure. Injections are just band aids they are not curing anything. So, glad to hear both those are not an option for  you. I commend you for your strong will. I  know how difficult and challenging
it can become.

Guylene, I believe what we have here is a compression fracture of the vertebra , which has made the bone
tissue in vertebra collapse.  More than one vertebrae may be involved, but I am sure the chiropractor would know that from X-ray. As far as nerve problems with the compression fracture, not usual because the nerves
are behind the vertebra, and most of the time, the front of the vertebra is compressed and back will be fine.
I have seen nerve damage fractures caused by trauma, called burst fractures.  But you are using nerve
herbs so that will heal just in case. Good way to go.

All your suggestions are right on the money.  If I repeat anything you mention, please forgive me, as I
am at work and trying to write this.I alternated the herbs I took, as I would find if one did not work, would add to
it, or try something else.  I am still doing it 11 months later. Many things I mention did not work at first, went back a month later and they worked. Being aggressive seems to be the key.

drink comfrey tea and poultices( alternating with BFC) as that aids healing.

BFC Fomentations

Ice is fantastic. That has kept me going with my cervical osteoarthritis in neck and DDD.  I sometimes sleep with an icepack, just to have some pain relief.

I use the BFC with cayenne over it and at times, I take a cotton ball and put DMSO on top of those two very
lightly. Keeps me from taking pain pills. Be careful with the DMSO as it is strong, use lightly. I just dab it
over the two ointments to drive them in.

Mullein  for swelling . I have added to that St. John's Wort and Jamaican Dogwood , when I could get it. I like to use the Mullein Root, others disagree and use leaves.

I cannot take the Herbal Calcium, but I do take a whole foods calcium, twice a day and that seems to be
working well and take infusions to heal. Have added to that Vitamin D  for calcium absorption.

I found  body awareness is so important. A herbalist told me years ago, if we silence pain, cannot hear it's wisdom, so be aware of it, and deal with it accordingly.

Soloman's Seal for Pain, mixed with Mullein Root, Horsetail

Infusion , horsetail combined with oatstraw (Infusions, I infuse all night long, then drink the following day,
all day long. If too strong, infuse for less time at beginning and then add as you go on.

Horsetail extract due to the properties of silica utilizes calcium and helps not only promote healing but repairs.

If you recalled when I fractured my foot in two places and would not have the surgery, I would do
visualization to have my bones knit back together again, good to visualize your situation back to normal.

Good to remember, if one thing does not work, try another. For the longest time BFC would make me
worse. It did not matter whether I tried it in ointments, fomentations, etc. Could not take it externally or
internally, but after about 4 months, started it again and it started to work. I took internally, externally in form
of ointment during day and fomentation at night.

Sweet bitters for stiffness if you have that symptom is great.  I took 3 x a day. Never drank the whole cup, took about a tablespoon each time.. Also used sweet bitters applied as compress on painful area, alternating with comfrey. I found this very soothing.

Used St. John's Wort for Nerves, took orally as a tea and used oil from time to time on p ainful areas.

For pain, Bosweilla , make  into capsules, Valerian Nerve, Valerian, Skullcap, I used the Valerian nerve
in tincture form, as I did the Nerve Formula, but also, rubbed in painful area and all way down my spine.  That is a job when doing it on your own, but can be done.

tea from lobelia, skullcap, valerian root from time to time.

Whole garlic clove( large) three times a day . Take  in applesauce, sprinkled with clove to prevent the smell
  of  garlic breath.

Cayenne, 1 tsp. three times a day.

Immunicalm

Relax-Eze

ACV, Mullein, lobelia herb , on occasion.

ACV with Hydrangea root, breaks up any calcifications if they are there.

ACV with honey

Green drinks

That is about all I can think of right now, Guylene. If any questions, please feel free to ask. Just take your time, pray, and you will heal yourself, I am sure of it.  Many of the above remedies I used may not fit into your situation, but sometimes hearing something, gives one an idea.   Take care of yourself, and please
update us after seeing the chiropractor.  You are in my thoughts and prayers

Guylene.. Forgot to mention X-ray /MRI

X-Ray  with confirm the fracture. I always get a copy of the x-ray. Mine this last time was on a disc, and I can play it and use it for visualization purposes , plus see exactly where I have the problem.  An X-ray will also tell you if it it anterior or posterior . If posterior means it is a fracture of spine on back side of body, and
anterior means fracture is in front of body. If a wedge, means when you fractured it , it cracked it at what I would call an angle.

MRI tells somewhat more of the fracture, but  x-ray tells one if  there is  degenerative changes in the discs, plus showing the osteo-arthritis and I believe stenosis.  MRI gives all this infor, in addition it tells if fracture
stable, normal limits, narrowing of disc spaces, and any herniation of discs.  I did not have MRI. Why, I just don't know.

Hi all,

Diana,

Right now i was completing list of herbs to order, and how lucky am I to receive your conversation with Guylene with your complete program.  I am wondering if i can just copy what you did and doing and do the same for my husband? We just received my husband's MRI results. If you could please find time to read it, I would so much appreciate your suggestions. I don't understand much about his condition, here is the report with underline marks by doctor.

1. Alignment: Mild to moderate loss of lordosis.
2. Bones: maximal dimension of about 1,5 cm degenerative Schmorl's nodes noted superior L4 with associated bone marrow edema, which is predominantly chronic. No signs of fracture or  spondylolisthesis.
3. Anterior spine: No significant anterior osteophytes.
4. Disc signal/height: Moderate desiccation at L4-L5 with mild to moderate disc space narrowing. Partial scattered desiccation at a few other levels including L5-S1 with mild narrowing.
5. Posterior disc changes: Small left paracentral protrusion at L1-L2. Mild bulge at L2-L3. Mild to moderate bulge  at L3-L4. Moderate bulge at L4-L5. Mild to moderate bulge at L5-S1 with suggestion of small superimposed posterocentral protrusion. There is also a questionable small posterocentral protrusion component at L4-L5.
6. Central canal: No significant stenosis.
7. Neuroforamina/facet joints: Bilateral facet joint degenerative hypertrophy noted at L4-L5 and L5-S1, and also at L3-L4. Mild bilateral L3-L4, mild to moderate bilateral L4-L5, and moderate bilateral L5-S1 proximal neuroforaminal narrowing noted.
...
IMPRESSION: Multilevel degenerative changes as described above including posterior disc bulges/protrusions and neuroforaminal narrowing.

am always reading and learning a lot from all of you.  I can understand everything I am reading, writing is a problem for me and takes more time, my language skills are not really good to wright nice and understandable letters). Please excuse me for rough letter.

Please help me, I would so much appreciate suggestions from all of you.
Wish you all the best,
Many Thanks,
Zarema

Zarema...
I don't know if what I did will work for your husband but  you can try and see what happens. If one thing does not work, try something else. If you go into the Vibrant files, you will see where I wrote from beginning about my Cervical spondylosis and degenerative disc disease.  Surgery and medications, injections were not an option for me.  I will admit, did h ave to take some Advil along the way, as I just could not tolerate the pain, and I have a high tolerance, so it was not bearable.

Your husband should change his lifestyle, and his diet.  If on drugs now from physician, I don't know what to tell you, whether to take herbs with the drugs or not. Maybe someone else would advise. I have stayed away from advising on friends that were  heavily medicated from a physician, as I don't know if herbs will interact or not.Maybe someone else can answer that question.  Also may I ask what the doctor suggested for your husband in a medical way? Hopefully he showed you the MRI impression and explained in detail what was happing with the degeneration and the narrowing. If not, I will try to explain best I can.

From seeing your letter , and reading diagnostic impression, I am sure your husband is in pain.   I started working on myself last January, and am still at it today, but now I can walk, can drive, can stand up straight, where before I was in very bad shape. At beginning I could not move my neck, now I have full range of motion.
So, you must have faith, and believe in what you are doing for this challenge.  I am telling  you this, to give
you hope , as anything is possible, I do believe. Just go slow and have faith.

I don't know how far you are in your studies, but if  you see a herb, look it up if you don't know what it is and see all the properties and see if you feel that will work in  your husband's condition.

It says your hubby has moderate desiccation, which I take to mean it is a degenerative condition
that is very painful. A disc dessication is when one loses fluid or dryness of the discs. This can be
from trauma, repeated injuries, strains,  or a muscle imbalance in the body.  Don't know how old your husband is, but many times this is the cause of a natural aging process.  Also states disc paracentral
protrusion. Best way to explain to you what is happening here is thus"  Each vertebra is similar to a
tissue block , which is a shock absorber and that is to cushion the stress of the spine when one
bends, lifts, etc. It has material around it that is the cushion part. Best I can describe this is, it is like
a gelatin type material and around that material is a thicker material that I think is called annulus.
There are nerves and blood vessels in outer layer of this round area of tissue.  The gelatin material will
dry out as we age and our activities will put much pressure and weaken this ring that is fibrous. In other words when you have a paracentral disc protrusion you have one of your discs that is  pushed out of
the natural position and touches a spinal nerve. In medicine, they will give  you pain killers,
anti inflammatory drugs, relaxants, ice packs, therapy and surgery.  I believe, and it is only my belief, is
the root of this problem is muscle imbalance, and if that can be handled , it will eventually fall into place.
So when healing with herbs, look at what the medicos say as far as pain killers, anti inflammatory, relaxants, etc. All this can be handled with herbs. Of course not the surgery, but all the rest, you can
use natural methods.

Facet Joint degenerative Hypertrophy..This is normal degenerative process that occurs in spine
  as we age, sometime arthritis.

Neuroforaminal narrowing means reduction of size of opening in spinal column where nerve exists.
As opening narrows, you will have the nerve become compressed.

You are writing just fine, can understand your letter with no problem at all, so don't worry about that.

I am wishing you the best on this challenge, and this is a great group, so glad to see you here.My
prayers and thoughts will be with you.

Diana,
I am very much appreciate your time and knowledge. Thank you so much.
"...the root of this problem is muscle imbalance, and if that can be handled , it will eventually fall into place". Diana, what we can do to handle muscle imbalance? Do we need to see chiropractor?

My husband did changed his life style, it took a long time ...about two year... He is mostly vegetarian now. No drugs at all. Every morning before job workout, and steam room. He fill more pain, If he does not exercise. He is 42 y.o.

We did colonic program at the beginning. We did about 13 liver flushes, few times three day cleansing. His liver flushes results shocked me, his last one was with much less stones and smallest ones.

He did replaced all his amalgams about months ago. It took me very long time to convince him that it is necessary, but...he did it without any special safety support...he just came home and told me that he did it already....( That evening he killed me...)

I learned about Dr. Christopher at the Curezone.com. I have made  more then ten formulas from: School of Natural healing. I also have other Dr. Christopher's books: Herbal Home Health Care, Every Woman's Herbal, Regenerative Diet, Three Day Cleansing Program. I need to make more formulas and read, read, read....

Breuss R. in his book: "The Breuss cancer cure", wright: "In my opinion, the discs do not wear out, but only get pressed together and dry out. For example: imagine a sponge measuring 50 cm x 50 cm x 50 cm . Place a heavy weight on this sponge of approximately 50 kg. It will then be pressed into a thin plate. If you leave this weight for six weeks and then take it of, the sponge will stay pressed together like a thin plate. But, if you pour water on this sponge, it will become approximately 50 cm height again." ... "What I do, then, is analogous to the example of the sponge. First, using my sense of touch, I painlessly stretch the spine downwards at the sacrum (two or five times, depending on the straight of the person) until I feel the spine relaxing and stretching. Then I place St.John's wort oil (Hypericum perforatum) over it  and this works exactly like water on the sponge. It is equivalent to taking the weight off the sponge. Because the spine is stretched, the oil can penetrate all the way to the discs which then open up, like the sponge rising again after water is poured on it. At this point the slipped disc can be put back into place without causing any pain.  ...   Without previous stretching, St. John's wort oil has no effect...."

How we can stretch the spine at home? Is it possible?

Wish you all the best,
Many, Many Thanks,
Zarema

I can't wait to reply but at this time I am unable to sit at the
computer to long. Just wanted to let you all know I am reading and
loving the new info about St Johns Wort oil treatment. I take this
herb orally. But will as soon as I can have my chiropractor use it
with his manual manipulations.
I am hanging in there. Every day in every way I am getting better!
(This is My affirmation for today!!!!!!!!)
Have a Blessed Day!

Zarema..
I am still working on how to handle muscle imbalance.  I saw an Orthopedic surgeon, and he had me on
physical therapy for 6 months and it did not help me completely. It gave me range of motion of neck, so that was a plus, but not a cure from pain.  I tried 2 chiropractors, and I became worse. Tried an acupuncurist, and that did nothing at all. Massage helped some, but pain always came back, so I am still trying to find a point
that I can live at times with no pain.  I don't know what to advise you in your husband's condition, as far as muscle balance, other than what I had written earlier I have tried.

I did make a copy of your email, and am very interested on your mention of the spine and St. John's Wort Oil. I definitely will try that. Thank you for sharing.

Today is not a good day for pain, so I will cut this letter short, as having a difficult time, sitting at the computer.  Hope your husband has a pain free evening.

Sorry for late unswering,
My kids got flu.
Diana and Guylene, I will try to tape more from Breuss's book later, or i can make a photo, if it is permissible. It would be much easer for me.
Thank you so much for your unswer,
Zarema
