As in rips in the brain.  This is what my Grandmother has been diagnosed with have tears in her brain on the right side, she has head achs and blured vision on the right, and just kinda scared.
She is on no medication, after the incident they gave her a persciption of vicoden.  She weighs 98 pounds, and is 86 years old.  Eats lots of vegetables, fruit and smoothies, as well as some cheese and eggs.  Very little meat.
Has anyone heard of this?
Anyone any suggestions of herbs, foods, or activities that could help with this condition?

Thank you so much for your time,
Sage in Alaska

Sage..
Has your grandmother had a skull fracture that brought this on, or any trauma?

Was this a neurosurgeon, or a neurologist  that diagnosed this, or a general practitioner?
Also, may I ask what recommendations they gave her, and what tests brought them to this diagnosis?

I am a registered nurse, and was curious as to how they came to this diagnosis?  I have seen a patient
with this, after he  was in an accident and from a skull fracture.

The trauma was a fall, hitting her head on the floor. The tear in
brain was diagnosed by MRI a few weeks ago in the California Kiaser
system, they won't be able to give her any care reccomendations til
they have an appointment open sometime in December! She moved to
Colorado. Any caring, wholistic care Doc's you could reccomend? I
don't know who or how qualified Dx was.

What happened with the case that you know of? Any reccomendations?
Thanks!

Sage, adding to what Rebecca said, there are naturopaths in the Denver and Boulder area. I have a friend
that just moved from Colorado, and had  used one, but she is out of the country with no email facility, so
cannot reach her to find out name.  I believe I remember her saying the Denver Naturopathic Clinic, which I am sure must be on line.  An Oriental herbalist, as Rebecca mentions is a great suggestion.
