Lottie Ryan has officially been announced as the new co-host on Virgin
Media ’s Six O’Clock Show.
Brian Dowling has been joined by a string of new faces over the past few
weeks to host the afternoon show after former co-host Katja Mia stepped
down to take up a role with Laura Fox on 2FM.
And this afternoon, show bosses confirmed Lottie had been chosen to
co-front the Virgin Media chat show.
Posting a series of images of Lottie and Brian celebrating the news on
Instagram, they wrote:
"Dearly beloved... we're gathered here today to introduce your new Six
O'Clock Show hosting duo... Please welcome Brian Dowling and Lottie Ryan".

Lottie has been inundated with good wishes from friends and followers
who shared their delight at the news.
With Brian's former co-host Katja writing: "An iconic DUO".
While friend and colleague of Lottie's David O'Reilly wrote: "THE BEST
NEWS EVER! No one more deserving. Image for Brian and Lottie have known
each other for years after taking part in Dancing With The Stars in 2020
together.
Lottie is a regular on RTÉ 2FM, where she provides entertainment and pop
culture updates but has spoken on being extremely vocal in RTÉ about
wanting her own show.
“I’m very grateful for what I have, and I love what I do. But I’d be
lying if I didn’t say all I’ve ever wanted is my own show. I love radio,
I love the intimacy of communicating with people, and being let into
people’s cars and wherever they are in life.
“I think I’ve probably done nearly every show in the schedule at this
stage, so I’ve been lucky in the sense that I feel like I have acquired
particular skills. Because each time slot is a learning experience, the
listeners are different, and the teams are very different.
“But I would love nothing more than to cement myself somewhere and have
my own show. Of course I would.
“Hopefully one day, the right slot will open up and present itself. I’m
a big believer that success is when preparation meets opportunity. The
prep is really there, the opportunity just has to materialise," she told
Goss.
