Ryan Tubridy just announced a huge new project
Broadcaster Ryan Tubridy has confirmed he is returning to Irish TV screens.
The former Late Late Show presenter stepped down from hosting the RTÉ chat show in 2023.
Tubridy relocated to London following the RTÉ payment scandal, where he now hosts his own show on Virgin Media Radio UK.
The Ryan Tubridy Show airs weekdays and is aired on Dublin’s Q102.
Some fans were delighted to see Tubridy return to the airwaves, but the presenter is now returning to our screens in a Virgin Media show.
Tubridy will take part as a guest in the Irish version of The Assembly.
Hosted by Muireann O’Connell, the show sees well-known faces interviewed by neurodivergent journalists.
Tubridy will be one of many famous faces taking part in the Virgin Media show.
Muireann said she cannot wait for Tubridy’s episode to air.
She told VIP Magazine, “He is extremely well known. In my day job, we have been trying to get that man on our couch for so long. But this is the show that he has decided to and it’s amazing. I don’t want to give too much away.”
Joanne McNally will also appear in the show.
The news comes after Tubridy paid back €150,000 to RTÉ following the payment scandal.
“I made this payment through my solicitor, without any discussions with RTE – or with anyone acting on their behalf – and without condition.”
“I have said on various occasions that I intended to make this payment, and I’m happy to have been able to do so today,” Tubridy said.
The Assembly will air on Virgin Media this autumn."
