Numeric Activities –Achievements and impacts of Primary Education Department, Swanirvar

Greetings from Swanirvar !

Kindly see the brief report of the achievements of our Primary Education Department. Every month we are organizing new hand holding training Programmes with the Govt school teachers. Swanirvar in being regarded as the main resource organization in the eye of local Govt. officials. Recently, two student representatives from Munich International Schools came to Swanirvar to learn how we are empowering teachers, developing Teaching Learning Materials(TLMs) and teaching Environments in schools etc. Our TLMs and methodologies are now extensively being used in all the Sishu Sikha Kendra (Govt Primary) schools in Deganga Block and these are also being used in the schools run by Non -profit organizations like, Missionaries of Charity (MC), PRADAN, Ram Krishna Mission etc. From 2011, we had signed a MOU with Block Education Officials for quality development of all the 60 Sishu Sikha Kendra (Govt Primary) schools in Deganga Block. Recently, Senior sisters from MC and Father Anthony from Praggalaya, Kolkata visited our schools. On 4th January, our Coordinator, Nilangshu was invited to give lecture on the impact of introducing local History and Geography in curriculum in a conference organized by the Principals of the Schools under CNRI. Now many of our Ex-students visiting our schools along with parents also participating in workshops.  Besides our regular activities, we introduced 1st Aid training in our schools also organizing monthly Mothers meeting on basic hygiene practices and on seasonal diseases .
