Nepal Integrated Conservation and Development Society (NICDS) is non
profitable, humanitarian organization that works through volunteers.
NICDS dedicated to ending Social and Environmental crisis and initiate
the Community development program by Sustainable utilization of
natural Resources.

Establish in 2007, NICDS has a diverse program portfolio being
implemented in 10 districts of Nepal. NICDS serves people without
regard to their ethnic, political, or religious association, and
Supports the development of local capabilities through learning and
partnerships with volunteers, government and civil Society at all
levels.


:: Background ::

Nepal Integrated Conservation and Development Society (NICDS) has a
non- profit status which pursues high sort of public interest or
public good and hence has a high degree of public trust. The main
goal of the organization is the conservation of environment and
achievement of sustainable development through community
participation. NICDS is also an active association enjoying a leading
role in the formulation and execution of an environmental literacy
program. Its vision is global paradigm shift, changing minds and
promoting prosperity for all. It has a view to fill the gap in the
field of energy and climate change issues in the country. The
objective: ideas, action and solutions for a diverse and sustainable
world. The limits to growth on our fast-changing planet are ever more
glaringly apparent. Using natural resources such as forests and
freshwater fairly and sustainably has become a paramount concern for
us all. Our priority is on local control and management of natural
resources and other ecosystem services. Small-scale producers and
local economies play crucial roles in this process and are central to
our work.
We are young people, the present and the future of Nepal. We are hard
working graduates, students, teachers, civil servants, young
scientists, engineers, lawyers, journalists, environmentalists,
politicians, entrepreneurs, medical professionals, social workers,
farmers, labourers and so on; and we are young Nepalese with courage,
brains and hearts to build the nation.
