Pragati 2011 - you are invited

After successful launch of Pragati in B'Lore, this year Pragati
conference is taking place in Pune. As you can see, in the attached agenda not
only there is a chance to interact with project partners and leading
experts in the NGO field, there is an opportunity to participate in
discussions with fellow Vibha volunteers. All of you are invited to
attend and few of us crossing the seas will be also there. Please try to
attend if you can as this is within a stone's throw from where you are and make this event a big success for the projects as
well as Vibha India.
The volunteer is responsible for his/her travel related costs to the venue. Vibha will take care of boarding and lodging in Pune for the 3 days of the conference.
The organizers can still accommodate any volunteer that wishes to attend as long as he/she ensures that they respond to Deep (copied on this email) by Sept 15th latest.

Dear Vibha Project Partner,
Greetings from all at Vibha!
In October 2009, Vibha organized the first ever Pragati Conference in Bangalore for all project partners and it was a tremendous and exciting opportunity to meet everyone from across India to learn about the inspiring and path breaking work being done. We believe that the conference was a first step towards forging strong relationships between Vibha and project partners as well as between our projects partners.
Vibha is once again organizing the Pragati conference in October this year - Pragati 2011 - which will take place from October 01 to October 03, 2011 at the Y.M.C.A. in Pune.
On behalf of Vibha, I am pleased to invite you once again to attend the Pragati 2011. Please do block the above dates in your calendars for this conference.
We expect two participants from each of our project partners (one from Management and one senior person from the ImplementationTeam).
This conference will be fully sponsored by Vibha including all your travel, lodging and boarding needs. (Travel includes 3AC train travel from nearest railway station to Pune for those traveling on overnight journey and bus/chair car for short distance as may be applicable. We will also cover all local transportation within Pune and from your town/village to the railway station and any out of pocket expenses during travel to and from the venue).
The Pragati 2011 is being held at the YMCA campus which is very close to the Pune railway station. All participants will be accommodated at the YMCA itself.
The mission of the Pragati Conference remains, to “Connect, Share & Leverage”:
1. CONNECT:
a. With all your peers from other similar and diverse projects from across the country
b. With people and advisors from industry and govt.
c. With Vibha volunteers, administrators and project owners who are the core of Vibha
2. SHARE:
a. ALL your best practices that have worked in your projects for your peers, industry, volunteers and govt. to learn from
b. ALL your worst practices that did not work in your projects for your peers, industry, volunteers and govt. to learn from
c. ALL the problems and issues you face in your day-to-day functioning related to actual project work, administrative, finance, accounting, IT and more
3. LEVERAGE:
a. Best practices from your peers from other projects and see how you can implement the same at your project
b. Vibha volunteers, administrators and staff for additional co-operation and assistance in accomplishing your goals
c. Administrative knowledge and know-how shared (IT, Finance, Accounting, Govt. related issues and more) towards enhancing your projects.
Attached is the agenda and structure of the conference. We hope that you will find it interesting as we have crafted it carefully keeping mind the feedback provided by participants from the Pragati 2009 conference. We will send you details regarding venue etc. shortly.
Those of you who wish to display some information about your organization, shouldbring appropriate materials/documents. We will provide you with a small space for this purpose. Please bring essential information only as we have 25 partners and we can only provide a small space to each one. Please put up your display etc. on the evening of the 30th so that this is in placebefore the conference begins on the 1st of October.
Please plan on being in Pune by the evening of September 30th and leaving on or after the evening of October 3rd. Please do inform us as soon as your travel bookings are confirmed so that we can make arrangements accordingly.
