Hi Eric,

It has been quite some time since the latest (I hope it won't turn out to be the last) release of Vibe Streamer (about three years) and I wonder whether Vibe Streamer is discontinued or you still have plans for further development.

What I miss in Vibe Streamer is support for some more audio formats (and especially lossless ones- APE, FLAC, WavPack since at least 90% of my audio collection consists of lossless audio files) and Unicode support.

Any chances for a new version in the near (and not so near) future?

By the way I liked the old forum more.

Regards,

A.

Hi, yea it's correct. I haven't been doing any development for Vibe Streamer in the past three years, and to be honest I don't plan to continue developing the application any further myself :/ So a while back it was been released to the open source community, making it possible for others to continue the development if wanted. I'll gladly give my support to anyone that want to continue the development.

Cheers

Hi Erik,
Congratulation on developing a great app and making it open source.
May I ask you about certain usage from existing app I've in mind, as I'm a newbie! Is auto log-in is possible fom the client side? I've been in search for a streamer which I can use to stream my mp3 music collection from the PC, which I can listen to from the internet/browser and more importantly from my Pioneer HiFi which has built in internet radio (but unfortunately no DLNA). On the radio I can configure the IP address to play the music, however that should be accessible without login authentication requirement, as with thousands of internet radios.
Cheers,
Pat

Hey siit.

As I have read, you open-sourced it because you will not continue to develop the program.

I have tried to research on how I can add m4a/aac support to be able to play the files, but I have not been able to find anything. More than half of my library is in aac format, and I would let to be able to stream them through the app.

Would you wish to give me some direction as to what I would need to do, or where I can find the information to get this to work?
