I discovered Unlucky Morpheus somewhat recently, and I'm kind of confused about exploring their discography. I see that some albums are re-recordings of old albums, and some have songs from older EPs. I also see that some are touhou albums, and I'm not at all familiar with touhou. Isn't touhou a kind of game? I've listened to the albums that are available on Apple Music, and I'm not really sure what to listen to next.

However, that is not all, because some tracks (particularly their latest album), have a more acoustic slant. Here the violin is placed at the forefront, with acoustic guitars, sometimes replacing the drums with a Cajon, and the other instruments offering a supporting rhythm. The vocals also move to a more pure, soft and melodic style, floating and guiding the track bringing all the elements together. Indeed, this shows not only the sheer range in sound, but each individual element to the songs which allows them to create such a varied discography. Managing to master these two distinct styles is no mean feat, and just proves how incredible Unlucky Morpheus are.
They found out about Clone Hero after randomly browsing Twitch and stumbling across Aren Eternal's stream. Becoming aware of the disturbing lack of BAND-MAID charts, they took it upon themselves to chart their entire discography (which is currently a WIP). It was at that moment where Spachi started to get involved with the charting community and discovered how complex the process of making a good chart really was (as opposed to just placing notes and calling it a day).
In times when I had much amount of free time this was no problem for me. My standard procedure was to work through the discography chronologically. First the single and associated album and then to get them in my head I watched (if available) the live performances.
For me that was an effectively method which also gave me the chance to live through the history of the band as if I were an fan from day 1.
Its simple. I dont.
Most bands whose discography i know complete dont have a small discography.
Huge discographies can even turn me away from a band. Because listening to a huge discography will end up giving me the feeling of doing a chore and thats not fun anymore.
There are tons of bands where i know mainly just the songs with musicvideo
