CASD1113 Articulatory Phonetics 4 hours; 4 credits

Introduction to the science and development of the English speech sound system; phonetics as it relates to areas of linguistic science; dialectal variations in American English; speech patterns of Second Language Learners; and phonological disorders. Transcription of typical and disordered speech of children and adults using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).

In my case, these errors started on a few endpoints after upgrading them from 9.5.5 to 9.5.8. I opened up a case with IBM (TS000130487) which resulted in APAR IJ05780 (identified a failure in transcoding the additional data that 9.5.8 collects to prevent computer duplication). I think that fix has made it into 9.5.10 (but not sure).

We identified another code issue other than APAR IJ05780, always in the computer registration process and always related to clients reporting characters the BigFix Server is not able to handle: it is tracked with APAR IJ09791 ( -01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IJ09791) and it has been released with 9.5.11.

Welcome to the Coast Guard Cutter RICHARD DIXON (WPC 1113)! Our unit endeavors to live up to the example set by our namesake, Senior Chief Boatswain's Mate Richard D. Dixon, who selflessly braved breaking surf on the Tillamook Bay entrance bar to escort the FANTASY ISLE to the safety of the bay and did so again the very next day to save the lives of all four souls aboard a capsized recreational vessel mere feet from the north entrance jetty.

Commissioned in June of 2015, the CGC RICHARD DIXON (WPC-1113) was the first Fast Response Cutter (FRC) to be homeported in sunny San Juan, Puerto Rico. The capabilities the cutter and her crew brought to bear within the Caribbean were truly a game-changer, conducting long-range Law Enforcement patrols and supporting Search and Rescue both domestically and internationally. Today CGC RICHARD DIXON is one of seven Fast Response Cutters homeported in Puerto Rico, each standing a taut-watch on the front-lines to keep their nation's southernmost boarder safe and secure.

CS-UY 1113 Problem Solving and Programming I3 Credits This course introduces problem solving and computer programming and is for undergraduate engineering students who do not have prior experience in programming in any language. The course covers fundamentals of computer programming and its underlying principles using the Python programming language. Concepts and methods introduced in the course are illustrated by examples from engineering and other disciplines.

MATH 1113 - PrecalculusA course providing an intensive study on transcendental functions and their applications, which are fundamental to the study of Calculus, Physics, and related technical subjects. Emphasis is placed on trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities and equations, right and oblique triangles, and the trigonometric form of complex numbers. Additional topics include algebraic calculus expressions, system of equations, conic sections, and a review of exponential and logarithmic functions. Corequisite: READ 0099

This course is designed to prepare students for calculus, physics, and related technical subjects. Topics include an intensive study of algebraic and transcendental functions accompanied by analytic geometry and trigonometry.Students cannot receive credit for MATH 1112 and MATH 1113.
