Retrievinga Facebook account is a relatively simple process that involves the use of a code that is sent to your email or phone number to help confirm that you own the account. However, there are cases of Facebook not sending the code due to several reasons. Here is a simple way to fix the issue of Facebook not sending code to email.

Resolving the Facebook code generator not sending SMS is quite an easy process. All you have to do is to turn on Facebook text in your Facebook settings. When that is done, the Facebook code generator not sending SMS will be resolved. Here is how to set up Facebook text:

Facebook typically sends a 6 digit code either to the phone number linked to your Facebook account or to a linked email address. If you are trying to reset a new password or trying to login with a new device and Facebook is not sending the 6 digit code that verifies that you own the account, here is what you should do to resolve Facebook 6 digit code not being received by you.

To set up security measures to make your account more secure, Facebook will suggest you turn on the two steps-authentication. It will request that you choose a method for receiving security codes in case you would like to log into your account with a different device or browser. However, if you add more than two phone numbers or emails, your account will be flagged as suspicious by Facebook, and as such your account can be locked temporarily.

If you notice you are not receiving a Facebook password reset code email in your mailbox, it means that the current email address you are expecting the mail to come through is not linked to your Facebook account. To resolve facebook not sending code to email, you will have to either receive the password reset code via the code generator as outlined above or you receive it via SMS. Here is how to resolve facebook not sending password reset code to email using SMS;

After signing up on Facebook, Facebook sends a code to either your email or phone number so as to verify your account. If you notice Facebook is not sending a confirmation code to your email, all you need to do to get the confirmation code is to

Facebook usually resets the password by sending either a reset password link to an email address or a reset password code to the phone number. You can fix Facebook by not sending SMS code to reset the password by getting the reset password link via mail. Here is how you can resolve Facebook not sending SMS code to reset password.

Every time we attempt to perform a critical action on Facebook, such as signing in from a different device or changing our account password, Meta requires us to verify our identity. For this, it sends a security code to the phone number or email address linked to our account.

While we often receive the verification code immediately, sometimes, it never arrives. In this article, we'll explain why you may not receive a verification code from Facebook and what you can do about it.

Facebook sends your verification code automatically; there is no human involvement on the other end. So first and foremost, ensure the problem doesn't stem from Facebook's backend. Check if its servers are up and running without any technical issues.

The best way to confirm that is to look for any outages reported by other Facebook users. Many websites on the internet allow you to check this, but Down Detector is the most popular one. Go to Down Detector's official website, search for "Facebook" in the top-right corner search bar, and select Facebook.

If the number of reported issues exceeds the average, this indicates a backend problem. Therefore, you only need to wait for Meta to resolve the issue. However, if you do not find similar reports, the problem is yours alone. So, let's move on to the next step.

Perhaps Facebook sent you the verification code successfully, but it hasn't reached your inbox because of an outage on your email client or mobile service provider's end. Check email client outages Down Detector in the same way we checked Facebook outages above.

Likewise, ask your friend to text you to rule out possible mobile network problems. If you don't receive any texts despite being delivered from your friend's end, the network may be down. It is either a problem with your mobile device or your network provider. Therefore, troubleshoot whatever the problem is and resend the code.

Maybe Facebook has sent the verification code, which has been successfully received via email or phone number, though not the one you expected. Why? Because you entered the wrong credentials when you requested the code from Facebook.

Did you use the correct email or phone number? If yes, you may already have received the code, but it might not have landed directly in your inbox. Instead, it might have been redirected to another location by your email client or text filters.

Search your email client's spam folder and look through filtered text groups in your phone to find the verification code. If you find it, whitelist Facebook emails and texts so that they land directly in your inbox in the future. Go to the next step if you don't find any.

Are you currently having trouble receiving the verification code via one of the two channels, i.e., email or phone number? Then, request that Facebook send you the code through a different medium you haven't tried yet.

If you've already requested a code via email but haven't received it, you can request it by text message instead. There are multiple ways to do that, and we have covered most of them in our guide on recovering your Facebook account when you can't log in.

If you fail to receive the code when requesting from the Facebook website, try using the Facebook app instead and vice versa. Request the code again after making the switch. If that doesn't work, try the next fix.

Open your Facebook account and click on your profile icon in the top-right corner. Navigate to Help and support > Report a problem. Then, follow the instructions on the screen to report the issue to Facebook.

Waiting for a missing verification code is one of the most annoying experiences. Hopefully, our guide will help you better understand the causes of not receiving the verification code so that you can take action to resolve it. Report the problem to Facebook if the fixes covered in the article fail to work.

After a long time, I tried to login in to Facebook just to find that I forgot my password. So, to generate new password I used the 'forgot password' option in which a security code to reset password will be sent to my email. I have two emails for account recovery and I received mail on both email address. But both code was different. Is it possible?

I also tried downloading the app on PC, with idea to connect. this forced me to merge my oculus account into my facebook account, then forced merging my facebook account into a meta account, so now I have no Idea what I should be using. This forum seems to require my original oculus account.

The crux is that when I try to login on the quest, it now asks for a 6 digit code. But it doesn't say how or where it was sent. It certainly has not been emailed to me, it's not appeared in facebook, nor messenger. I can't think of anywhere else it would have been sent.

The whole login and authentication system is so cumbersome, bug ridden and pointlessly over the top - I just want to play some games, but cant even do that since some weeks due to this broken code system.

Same here. I keep one number so this doesn't happen so whatever number they have was made by them & I wasn't informed. Also I downloaded the free Resident Evil 4 & linked my facebook account as well so sending me an email for a pass code shouldn't be a problem, you'd think

I tried the headset again today. This time it asked me to go through a new pairing routine which involved having to go to the meta website, and enter pairing codes, instead of asking for a 6 digit code. This seems to have worked. I haven't managed to actually play a game yet though.

I signed up to receive proceeds from the Facebook settlement and chose Paypal as the method of payment. As a part of this process, I am supposed to receive a six digit code to verify my Paypal account via email. That was 3 hours ago and I haven't received any code so I can't continue the process of receiving a payment from the Facebook settlement! Why am I not receiving the code?
