I have had the Sims medieval for a while and it worked perfectly. The other day it stopped working and wouldn't load past the game launcher, so I got in contact with EA support via the chat function. They said that I could redeem the code via various means (?) but none of it worked. I was then asked to uninstall and reinstall my game.
It then worked for a little bit but as soon as it updated, it would not launch. So I got in touch again and then they said to speak to the retailer because my code was wrong? To be clear - THIS IS THE DVD DISC VERSION. The code is fine, it's the serial number and it has never prevented me from playing the game before. It's only after the patch, did it stop working.
@k1nana Unfortunately, even after trying different things, including mods, I have to report that a patched version of a physical copy of The Sims Medieval does not work on Windows 10. The reason might be Windows 10's incompatibility with disk authentication software, as the first thing I saw in the patch user agreement mentioned SecuROM, which Windows 10 does not support.
