Upon installation, this program will add several registry keys and entries to the system, which allow the program to start automatically on the computer. And several related processes and programs are also added as firewall exceptions.
When I contacted Epson Support directly back in January, I talked to two people. The first person had me do everything I just listed again, then when that didn't work put me on hold and eventually hung up after 15 minutes. The 2nd person started just word vomiting the above mentioned support documentation links, and when I called them on it, they also put me on hold "to reach out to a manager". After 5 minutes they also ended the call.
