Happy New Year, everyone.
On January 11, 2026, I installed Windows 11 on a personal computer with no operating system installed. I wanted to install VI-Suite and attempted to install the combination of Blender and VI-Suite that I presented at last year's Architectural Institute of Japan conference. The combination at that time was Blender 4.2.8 and vi-suite07-master.zip. However, this combination is no longer available in the VI-Suite packages, so I installed Blender 4.2.8 and vi-suite07-vi-suite07_beta6.zip. During installation, a message appeared indicating that matplotlib was not installed, preventing the installation from completing.
On 2028/01/12, to run my self-made Python program displaying room temperature contours, I installed python-3.14.2-amd64 and then installed matplotlib via pip. As a test, I ran the VI-Suite that failed to install yesterday. Although it took a considerable amount of time, the installation succeeded. envi and livi worked. I haven't installed openfoam yet, so I'll report on that later. I also want to install other versions.
