to VGN.NAGAR RESIDENTS WELFARE ASSOCIATION
UNITED WE ARE , HOPE TO SUCCEED !!!
Consequent to our united struggle, district collector of tiruvallur
has called for a joint meeting of all concerned with RDO on 10th
february,2011. The panchayat staff circulated a notice to this effect
to all associations of Nolambur residential areas.
This meeting took place by 03.00 p.m at Ambattur Taluk office on
friday 10th feb,2011.
Sri.Kandasamy RDO chaired this meet. He gave first chance to the
Ambattur Municipal areas to represent their case. The second chance
came to our association.
Our resident's association was headed by Chairman Mr.D.Kamalakannan
along with vice president Mr.TMK Kumar and Hon.member Dr. Anton Kumar.
They put forth our priority requirements in 3 separate petitions and
discussed our hardships encountered so far.
1. Relaying of all roads in our nagar with TAR topping and in
particular Gurusamy road, Channel road and the 50 feet road connecting
our nagar with TNHB 4th main road.
2. Removal of obstructing trees on 50 feet road, widening it to its
original width.
3. Garbage removal and disposal with proper earmarked aresa and
process instead of dumping it on open plots and park areas.
Panchayat President Sri. Rajan who was present there was directed by
the RDO to receive further orders from Tiruvallur Collector for Roads
repair and tar topping. In regard to t He removal of trees on 50 feet
road, the RDO agreed to have personal inspection soon and carry out
the same. He has advised us to plant 10 new tree saplings as
compensation.
Mr. Suresh, FONRA President along with other association's office
bearers represented for proper disposal of garbage and to stop
discharge of septic tank waters by hired lorries all over the places
near residential settlements.
As for now, Nolambur panchayat has to identify a place for dumping
garbage and proper disposal of the same. This matter has already been
jointly bargained at the previous meet with the District Collector
almost an year ago.
From the sincere proceeding of the meet, we presume and are hopeful of
civic amenities to improve in our neighbourhood ensuring better living
standards for us, since state elections are around the corner.
