Hello VGLUG experts, 

I have error “command-line: line 0: Bad configuration option: When i tried to do scp.

I have remove openssh and try to reinstall it , but openssh-server and openssh-client is not installing ., giving error ..package can not be unpacked...

openssh-client and server rpms is not installing ....anyway....so i am unable to use ssh service.

with openssh installed , when i try to restart ssh service , it is giving me error. 

 please provide me proper solution if you have ....

Hi Nirmal,
              From the error message, it seems that some one may have manipulated the permission of ssh command (As in background ssh is working even we execute scp).

So, could you please share the exact error message that you are getting while reinstalling the ssh rpms?

I suggest you to check first your rpm database with following command.

rpm -Va

Or if you want to check integrity of openssh-* packages then

rpm -V openssh-server openssh-client

Do not forget it is capital V.

Then try to install with --nodeps --force with rpm command.
