Nagios error

Hi,

While starting Nagios I get following error can someone help me?

 /usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios start

Hi,

Check your nagios.cfg file and the log file path.

log_file=/usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log

and also check the permission of nagios directory it should be.

chown   -R nagios.nagcmd /usr/local/nagios
chmod  -R  775 /usr/local/nagios/

And then try to restart your nagios :-

/etc/init.d/nagios restart

and update me if still you are getting problem ........

Hi,

I tried above command it gives me error "chown: 'nagios.nagcmd'; invalid user'

Create above user and group and then try .....

Dear piyush and all,

i have configured nagios and now i want to check amavisd from my
nagios how to do it..?

i found check_amavis.pl by googling but not working properlly.. if you
have any other utilkity to check amavisd service please suggest me
