Hi,
 
good morning everyone.
 
I have downloaded some file in PS format. i don' t know how to see this file.
which software I suppose to use to see this file in windows as well as linux.

The file extension ps indicates that the file is in postscript format. Postscript is a format supported by most printers. There are postscript viewers to display the document on the screen. One of the most popular free postscript viewer is ghostscript or ghostview (graphical front-end to ghostscript). Both of these are available at large software archives for UNIX and Windows based PCs.

There is a command in linux that converts file formats

just do ps2<tab><tab> in terminal to see how many formats it can converts.

similarly there is pdf2xxx convert commands too.

oh its new thing for me.
i checked. there are may options are there.
what are the procedure to convert from one file format to another file format

man command is your best friend there.
