how to unlock pdf files in fedora?

Check out following link, you need 'pdfcrack' package on your system.

The above link has example of Ubuntu but you can compile the package from source and install it on Fedora too.

I think, pdfcrack to crack an encrypted pdf-file but not recovering passwords. I tried with it. But getting o/p like:

[root@dell Download]# pdfcrack 076820090611013818.pdf
Error: Encryption not detected (is the document password protected?)

So I must need password recover or password breaker.

I can see "Supports cracking both owner and userpasswords" from following link.

It should crack the password too. I think there should be some way out to achieve this using this utility. I need to try that out when I get time.

Then you need to check with HSBC on whether the mentioned password is
the actual password. Such password-protected pdfs open well in Evince,
when given the right password.
