Major different between Redhat linux & SentOS

There is no major difference between CentOS and Redhat EnterPrise Linux other then support.

CentOS is provide community based support and Redhat has it's own support desk.

CentOS takes the Source RPM from Redhat and rebranding it as CentOS. Both are enterprise level operating systems and having good stability. you can apply all the RPM of redhat on centos. even they have same numbering system. When Redhat placed RHEL 5.0 in the market, after sometime (Few days) CentOS 5.0 has been released it. the same thing with RHEL 5.1.

You will not find major difference between RHEL and CentOS.
